India Drenched: Early Monsoon Unleashes Nationwide Chaos and Calamity

Torrential Rains Bring Chaos Across India:-

The torrential rain wreaked havoc from North to South and from East to West. May is over, chaos continues in June too. The pictures of the destructive impact of flood and rain are scary. All the houses in the cities have been submerged. The roads have become oceans. Clouds are bursting on the mountains. Human life is struggling in the face of floods. It is said that neither friendship nor enmity between fire and water is good. But what should those people do in whose homes trouble comes without any invitation?

Heat Meets Havoc: Monsoon Arrives Early:-

In the first week of June, when fire rains from the sky, it is raining water. But there is no dearth of troubles. People get relief from the heat due to the benign rains. Before that, the immense water started wreaking havoc. Now when the monsoon arrived before time in many parts of the country, many records were also broken. In the month of May, 295 mm of rain was recorded in Mumbai which is the highest in the last 100 years. Monsoon has arrived in Mumbai so early for the first time since 1950. Pre-monsoon rains in Karnataka broke 125-year-old record. 71 people died due to rain in the months of April and May. Breaking the 100-year record, monsoon arrived in Chhattisgarh in the first week of June. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain in 29 districts of Chhattisgarh. Will the early arrival of monsoon be beneficial or harmful? There is some confusion among the experts regarding this. Some are saying that this time there will be relief from the heat soon. So some are saying that farmers may suffer losses due to pre-monsoon rains.

Monsoon Timeline Broken in Central India:-

Some experts even believe that the monsoon may dry up due to its arrival during Nautapa. This means there will be very little rainfall during monsoon. We will also know the reasons for early arrival of monsoon later. Before that, take a look at the condition of monsoon across the country because after the arrival of monsoon 10 days before time in Kerala, its effect is becoming visible in other states. Monsoon has gained full speed in the southern states, Karnataka and Goa. Monsoon is expected to reach Uttar Pradesh in the next 10 days.

Monsoon Marches Through Southern India:-

The Meteorological Department issued a yellow alert for rain in 50 districts of Uttar Pradesh. There is a yellow alert in 18 districts of Bihar. You will get relief from the humid heat. There may be rain with thunder and lightning in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. There are signs of change in Rajasthan and Haryana in the next 48 hours. The worst situation is in North-East India. Where premature monsoon has started wreaking havoc. All the rivers are in spate after continuous rains. Rainy drains, lakes and ponds are overflowing. Such a waterfall is flowing from the mountains that seems intent on taking away everything with it.

North-East India Faces Worst Flooding in Years:-

In the last two days alone, there have been reports of the death of 32 people in several states of the North-East. Sixteen people died in Assam, nine in Arunachal, four in Mizoram and three in Meghalaya. The horrifying pictures of nature’s anger are from Sikkim. Where the drops falling from the sky brought devastation to the earth. There is wastage everywhere. The tributary rivers are challenging life. The Teesta river is flowing above dangerously high levels. Due to which there are reports of landslides at many places. Till a few days ago, river rafting was being done in this river.

Sikkim’s Infrastructure in Ruins:-

There was a huge crowd of tourists. But now seeing its terrible form, people are screaming and shouting. Similar pictures are seen in most parts of Sikkim. See how the bridge on Teesta river collapsed in a few seconds. After this bridge got submerged in the river, connectivity between many districts of North Sikkim has been lost. In such a situation, the work of repairing the bridge was started among you.

Due to continuous rains, not only bridges but also roads are getting washed away in Sikkim. On the other hand, many houses situated on the river bank were washed away in the flood. The situation in the remote areas of Sikkim is such that there is water everywhere. But neither the administration has reached nor the rescue operation has started yet. In such a situation, thousands of people are still trapped in the flood. See pictures of Agartala. The roar of water coming from the mountains is such that it makes the soul of the listener tremble.

Floodwaters Submerge Agartala:-

The situation in the residential areas of Agardtala is such that entire areas were submerged and boats had to be used on the roads. See the scary pictures from Meghalaya. After heavy rains, such a stormy waterfall started flowing from the mountains that vehicles on both sides of the road were forced to stop. Worse conditions were seen in Dispur near Guwahati. The special temple located here appeared surrounded by water from all sides. After continuous rain, so much water came down from the mountains that the onlookers felt as if a temple was built in the middle of the waterfall. It is believed that this temple dedicated to Lord Shiva was established by Maharishi Vasishtha during the Vedic period and his ashram was also located here.

Guwahati in Crisis: Temples Submerged, People Rescued:-

Due to continuous rain, landslides are also occurring in the areas around Guwahati. Due to which many roads have been closed and connectivity between many areas has been disrupted. The situation in Guwahati city is also not good. The situation after two days of rain became such that residential areas were flooded. From roads to houses, everything is submerged in water. As a precautionary measure, people in low-lying areas are being shifted to safer places. NDRF and SDRF teams have been activated and people are being rescued through boats and canoes in every street across the city. Not just the administration, even the common people are not behind in helping each other in this hour of crisis. When a girl started drowning in the water filled on the road, the local people saved her life without wasting any time. Now the situation is such that there is no water in the houses.

Fish Inside Homes: Flooding Turns Bizarre in Assam:-

Fishes are also arriving floating from the river. We are currently present in Jari Par which is a place in Guwahati. Where we have come to a particular house. About this house specifically, what is its condition? If you can see what is the condition of their house? Which house is it? Which is the way? where is the water? Where is there no water? The biggest thing is that he said that there is so much water here that these people are catching fish from their homes. Due to unseasonal heavy rains in Guwahati, many areas are still waterlogged. People’s houses and apartments are submerged in water. Petrol pumps, ATMs, roads, markets and temples have been submerged. See how efforts are being made to take a dead body to the crematorium amidst rain and waterlogging.

Administration’s Unpreparedness Exposed:-

The city turned into a pond in the first rain of the season. The claims of the system failed. When government minister Jayant Malla Barwa arrived to take stock of the situation, listen to how he was seen making excuses to restore the system next year. With a lot of infrastructure in Meghalaya, the water crisis has become even more severe. Therefore, our plan will have to be that for this entire road, we will have to make a 5-6 meter road drain and drain out the water and let it into the sealed drain. Otherwise there is no facility to drain out this water. there is no way. So, next year we will plan to make this entire road a drain and all the water coming from Meghalaya will be drained out from here and released into the drain.

Schools Shut, Flights Disrupted Across Northeast:-

Only then will this place get some relief. In view of the worsening situation after pre-monsoon rains, schools and colleges have been closed. Nine flights were diverted and several flights were rescheduled. The situation in Guwahati and surrounding areas may worsen now as the Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain for the next three days. Look at the picture of Sribhumi district of Assam. The rain has disrupted people’s lives. Due to continuous rain, a large area of the district was submerged. Roads and houses are almost submerged. The situation has come to such a pass that boats have to be used in the villages where farming is done.

Assam’s Sribhumi and Dibrugarh Underwater:-

The water level of Singla and Langai, the three major rivers of the district, has crossed the danger mark. Whereas the water level of Kushiyara river is increasing rapidly. Meanwhile, the administration has started taking people to safe places. In Dibrugarh also, the Brahmaputra river is flowing above the danger mark. After which there is a threat of flood in the villages situated on the river bank. Many areas were evacuated. It is being told that many areas are completely submerged in water. In Majuli district too, boatmen and ferry operators have been prohibited from entering the river after the Brahmaputra river crossed the danger mark. After seeing the pictures coming from the northeastern states, questions are being raised as to what is the reason that the monsoon not only came early but also came so stormy that it caused havoc.

Why Did the Monsoon Arrive Early and Fierce?:-

In fact, this time the monsoon had reached the country 10 days earlier on 24th May. Last time this happened was in 2009. Then the monsoon had arrived on 23rd May itself. Many reasons are being given behind the early arrival of monsoon. Somali jets are being cited as another reason for the early arrival of monsoon. It is a low-level wind that blows from Mauritius and Madagascar. This Somali wind became very strong in May this year. Due to this, moisture laden winds reached Kerala, Karnataka, Goa and Maharashtra via the Arabian Sea, i.e. the western coast of India. After seeing the pictures everyone realised how dangerous these Somali Jat winds are.

Manipur and Mizoram: Devastation Unfolds:-

There are pictures like those of Assam in Manipur too. 3800 people have been affected by floods and landslides in Manipur in the last 48 hours. While more than 800 houses were destroyed. This situation occurred when the water level of the rivers increased after continuous rains and many embankments broke. Many areas of the capital Imphal and several parts of Imphal East district were submerged. Army and Assam Rifles personnel rescued around 800 people from inundated areas in Imphal East, the worst-hit district. See the pictures of devastation coming from Aizawl, the capital of Mizoram. In many places, after the landslide, trees blocked the way and in some places, mountain debris fell on the road. On one side, there is trouble and on the other side, the work of opening the road with machines is also going on. The Meteorological Department says that the monsoon has not only arrived early but this time it will rain for four months i.e. from June to September.
