The Immortal Courage of Tukaram Omble: The Man Who Caught Kasab Alive and Exposed Pakistan’s 26/11 Conspiracy

The Soldier Who Faced an AK-47 Armed Only With a Stick;-

This is the story of a brave soldier who faced AK 47 with a simple stick. Who, despite taking bullets on his chest, exposed that heinous conspiracy of Pakistan in front of the world. In which he was trying to mislead the whole world by creating a false drama of Hindu terrorism. Who looked into the eyes of death and caught Ajbal Kasab alive and exposed all the dark secrets of Lashkar-e-Taiba and ISI to the world. This is the story of a brave man who took death on his chest but did not allow even a scratch on the honour of the country.

The Man Who Exposed Pakistan’s Dark Conspiracy:-

This is the story of a brave man whose martyrdom made America itself admit that the 261 attack was carried out by Pakistan. The United Nations banned Lashkar and Jamaat-e-Dawa after which Hafiz Saeed was declared a global terrorist. This is the story of a lion who, after taking 42 bullets, caught the terrorist wearing Kalava alive and exposed Pakistan in front of the world with its lies. This is the story of brave Tukaram Gopal Omle whose sacrifice saved the honour and dignity of not only Mumbai but the entire India and that is why today Tukaram is a name that gives sleepless nights to ISI. There is a name that makes terrorist leaders from Karachi to Islamabad tremble.

The Night of 26/11: India’s Darkest Hour:-

A name that makes Hafiz Saeed’s soul tremble. The leader of Lashkar Taba gets scared. This story is of Tukaram ji. 26/11 is about the bravery where supreme sacrifice was made with the stick and Kasab was caught and Pakistan was exposed before the world. Let’s start this story. Before that, we request you to listen to, understand and share the stories of such people so that the coming generations know who were those people because of whom you and are living a peaceful life today, who are no longer among us. These stories will inspire people. In the future, there will be many more who will be ready to make the supreme sacrifice for the country whenever the honour and pride of Mother India is at stake.

Amid Chaos, a Small Police Post Stood Guard:-

26 November 2008 was not an ordinary night. The darkest night in the history of India. The waves of the sea were calm. But 10 monsters had emerged from beneath those waves. Russian AK 47 in hand, bag of ammunition on shoulder , fire to burn India in the heart and orders coming from the control room of Karachi in the mind. These terrorists turned the grand stairs of Taj Mahal Palace red with blood in just a few minutes. Oberoi was turning innocent children into zombies and dropping them into the Trident lift.

The Chase, the Barricade, and the First Terrorist’s End:-

At Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminal, a mother was screaming while holding her child in her lap. But the bullets were silencing even her screams. Rabi and his pregnant wife were held hostage in Nariman House. The streets of Mumbai were littered with dead bodies. The whole of India was stunned. The world was watching. Pakistan was sitting in its TV studio and preparing to sing the praises of non-state actors. At that very moment, a simple police check post was set up at Girgaon Chowpatty. Old stick, old uniform, old wireless. A news comes on the wireless that two terrorists are fleeing from South Mumbai in a white Skoda car. It was around 10:00 pm.

Enter Tukaram Omble: The Man With a Stick:-

The cool sea breeze was blowing. Some loving couples were strolling on Chowpatty. Some children were eating ice cream. Then the glare of high beam was seen from a distance. A white Skoda was coming at high speed. The viper was frying rapidly so that the police would not get suspicious. The police waved their hands and said stop. But driver Abu Smail pressed the accelerator further. The police understood that this was the monster. Barricades were put up, shots were fired. The Skoda’s tyres burst, and the car skidded to a halt. Abu Ismail kicked the door open, jumped out, pointed his AK-47, and started firing indiscriminately. There was retaliatory firing. One bullet hit his chest and the other hit his head, killing him there. The snake of another terrorist Ajmal remained lying in the same car. He was pretending to be dead. His plan was clear that he would lie down for some time and then get up, kill the entire police team and run away.

A Storm of Bullets—and Unshakeable Courage:-

But destiny had something else written that night. Assistant Sub Inspector Tukaram Gopal Umle, 48, was present there that night. He was earlier a Nayak in the Indian Army. Joined Mumbai Police in 1991. At home, his wife and four children would wake up in the morning, drop the children to school, have tea and then leave for duty. He was on duty that night also. There was no body armour, no bullet proof jacket, no rifle, just a stick and the spirit of India in his chest. He reaches the car and opens the door. Kasab picks up the AK-47 and pulls the trigger at point blank range. The first bullet hit the chest , the second, third, fourth emptied the entire magazine. When the post-mortem was done, it was found that 42 bullets were found. The chest was cracked. The stomach had burst. My hands and feet were torn to pieces. Fountains of blood were gushing out. Doctors later told that after being hit by so many bullets, a person ‘s body collapses within 2 seconds. But Tukaram Umle stood not for 2 seconds but for full 38 seconds.

The Evidence Written in Blood:-

The burning barrel of AK-47 with both hands in such a way that Kasab could not move. Bullets were continuously hitting him but his grip did not loosen. She screamed, catch him alive brother, he is alive. His scream still echoes in the air of Girgaon Chowpatty. In those same 38 seconds, the rest of the police rushed in. Kasab was dragged out. He was caught alive with his hands and legs tied and Tukaram Umle fell there. His chest was bleeding. My breathing stopped. When the body reached the hospital, the doctors were surprised because both his hands were still clenched into fists. As if he is holding Kasab’s rifle. If he would step back for a moment. If they had got scared, Kasab would have killed the entire team and escaped. Then Pakistan and its sponsored gangs would have had a good time. He would say all over the world that this was Hindu terrorism.

Global Exposure of Pakistan’s Terror Machine:-

India created drama. Taj Oberoi, CST, Nariman House, everything would have been called a Hindu conspiracy. The United Nations would surround India. America also looked at it with suspicion but Tukaram Saheb did not allow this to happen. He wrote the evidence with his blood which neither the United Nations could erase, nor America could deny, nor Pakistan could deny. Kasab’s arrest exposed all the conspiracies. The words Karachi camp came out of his mouth. A LeT headquarters of a disciple, Hafiz Saeed Zaki ur Rehman Lakvi, ISI colonel, handler sitting on satellite phone, connivance of Pakistani Navy, coordinates set on GPS and everything, when FBI got permission to interrogate Kasab, they too were stunned.

A Nation Bows to Its Hero:-

America itself admitted that this attack was planned from Pakistan. The United Nations banned Lashkar and Jamaat Dawa. Hafiz Saeed was subsequently declared a global terrorist. Pakistan had to hide its face and all this happened because of the sacrifice of one soldier who did not leave his gun even after being hit by 42 bullets. The trial that followed was history in itself. Kasab confessed in the court. He told how nine more terrorists were trained in Karachi. He told how Hindus are killing Muslims in India.

The Common Man Who Became a Legend:-

He was told to go and take revenge. Kill the infidels. He told that he was ordered that if he was caught, he should blow himself up and not return alive, but Tukaram Umle snatched that opportunity from him. Kasab’s testimony exposed all the lies of Pakistan. When he was hanged on 21 November 2012, the whole world saw that this was not some local hooliganism but a plan made from across the border. And for this Tukaram ji got the highest honour. On 26 January 2009, during the Republic Day parade in Delhi, President Pratibha Patil awarded him the highest civilian award, the Ashok Chakra. To be honest, when this highest honour was given to Tukaram ji’s widow, the entire country cried. The Ashoka Chakra paled in comparison to that sacrifice. That day the whole of India was settled in Kara Umle’s heart. Today his statue stands at Girgaon Chowpatty.

His Spirit Lives On in Every Indian Heart:-

New children ask who he is and parents proudly tell him that he is the lion who defeated 47 of one with a stick. But the biggest thing is that Tukaram Omle was not a superhero. He was a brother from our street. There were elders in our house who would go to work after having tea in the morning , drop their children to school, and after returning home in the evening would ask their wives what is cooked for dinner today? But when the time came, he became Shivaji, Hanuman, Bhagat Singh. And today his martyrdom screams out loud that India is not a weak country. Here such mothers are born who hug their sons and say, go son, come and serve the country. Even today, his sacrifice resonates in the hearts of every soldier standing on the border.

A Final Salute to the Lion of 26/11:-

In the stick of every policeman who patrols in the dark of night. In the eyes of every mother who bids farewell to her son after dressing him in uniform. And that is why today on the occasion of 2611 we will say that Tukaram ji is not dead. He is immortal in the heart of every Indian who lives for the country.

Even today, his grip is not holding Kasab’s rifle but is pressing the neck of the enemy who keeps a vulture’s eye on this land. Even today, his martyrdom tells every Indian to never forget his brave soldiers because our India is safe because once a Tukaram Umle sacrificed his tomorrow for our lover. Therefore, today bring tears to your eyes and salute that brave man who wrote with his blood that the red people of India can eat bullets but will not bow down.
